Gamification & Character System
Walksy goes beyond simple step counting with RPG-style progression. You pick one of 8 animated pixel-art characters that represents you on the map, in challenges, and on the zones you conquer.
- 8 Characters — Start with the free Spirit Orb. Walk 50,000 steps to unlock Berserker and 250,000 steps for Archangel, link your Discord to unlock GOM, or get the premium characters Kaguya, Sylphi, Saphiron, and Sage of Colors. More characters are coming.
- XP, Levels & Titles — Earn XP for clearing fog, collecting landmarks (rarer landmarks give more XP), and walking steps. Level up from Wanderer to Legend and unlock new skills along the way.
- 4 Skills — Chronoshift (level 1) speeds up landmark regrowth nearby, Touch-Up (level 10) reveals small patches of fog, Shockwave (level 20) reveals 200 m instantly, and Orbital God (level 35) reveals 500 m and can upgrade landmark rarity. Each cast spends a collected landmark.
- Cosmetics — Dress your character with head, body, back, and effect (trail or aura) items. Cosmetics are visual only — they never give a gameplay bonus.
- Real-World Landmarks — Millions of landmarks worldwide from OpenStreetMap — parks, museums, monuments, viewpoints, and more. Walk within 50 m to collect one in four rarities: common, rare, epic, and legendary.
